I have been controlling my Type 2 Diabetes with food changes, exercise and mindset. I was originally diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes 8+ years ago. Since then, I have worked hard to lower my blood sugar and my A1C to stay out of the diabetic range. I was never put on medication, and I still occasionally eat the foods I love. I am not perfect; I still have weight to lose. I keep myself healthy by eating right and exercising daily. I walk mostly and I also like to bike.

I had gastric bypass surgery to lose weight and help with my Type 2 Diabetes. I was wearing a blood sugar monitor on my arm so I could track my blood sugar. Your simple suggestions about changing the order of eating my food and snacks to eat prior to eating have made all the difference. I no longer have to wear the blood sugar monitor, and my blood sugar levels are dropping. Thank you so much for your help.
